In 8th Grade Math, we are starting a new section that has to do with functions. Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 are in this unit and we are just beginning to learn the basics of functions. We also just finished up Unit C where we learned about Expressions and Equations (Part Two) and linear equations. This Unit taught us how to solve for x and y by pinpointing them on a grid or graph along with other equations of this similar nature. We are just about halfway in our math curriculum this year and everything is going well as students are learning from this great Digits program.

7th Grade Math--November 2013
Throughout the week of November 3, the students of Math 7c have learned about decimals and percents. We have been learning about rational numbers, whole numbers, integers, and the operations you can do to them to solve real world problems. The students can classify these answers in different formats, such as fractions, improper fractions, repeating decimals, terminating decimals, and percents over and under 100.

8th Grade Math
In math class, we are currently learning about exponents. In the first couple of lessons, we learned about perfect squares, square roots, equations of the form x^2=p and cubed roots. In later lessons, we learned about exponents and multiplication and exponents and division, zero and negative exponents, and comparing other expressions with exponents. ~Stephen S.
